The $55 Main Event of the MEC Poker Open Online ($20k guaranteed prize pool) resumed yesterday with Day 1B. A total of 127 entries were made by 106 players.
25 players to Day 2
Although there were 2 entries less in Day 1B compared to Day 1A, 6 more players made it to Day 2. At the end of level 18, 25 players remained. They will continue playing for the title on Day 2 on Monday night! Among them are 9 Belgians and 16 Dutch. Adam Salamov finished on top with 1,371,297 chips. This puts him in 2nd place in the Day 2 chip counts for now. Cédric Schumacher, on the other hand, will have to accelerate from minute one. He finished Day 1B with just over 140,000 points, which will be good for around 10 big blinds at the start of Day 2.
The average stack for the start of Day 2 is currently 588,028. Day 2 starts with the 7/14k (1.75k) blind level, so with 42 big blinds there is still plenty of room to differentiate yourself from the rest. This average will of course change somewhat as Day 1C still takes place tonight.
Tonight at 19:00 hours Day 1C of the $55 Main Event will take place! Blind levels last 15 minutes and you can register until just over 90 minutes after the start (+- 8:35 pm). During that time you can also re-enter 1 if necessary. If you make it to level 18, you are through to Day 2! You can find the tournament in the Bwin lobby when you filter the category ‘MEC Poker Open’.
Satellite
You can also qualify for the Main Event via an $11 satellite just before the start of Day 1C. It starts tonight at 5pm. The satellite can be found in the lobby of Bwin.
