129 entries in Day 1A
Yesterday the MEC Poker Open Online kicked off with the first starting day of the $55 Main Event ($20k guaranteed prize pool). A total of 129 entries were made by 106 players. Six nationalities were represented, including, of course, a large group of Belgians and Dutch.
19 players to Day 2
At the end of level 18, 19 players remained. They will play on Monday night for the title on Day 2! Among them are 4 Belgians, 13 Dutchmen, 1 Greek and 1 Austrian. De chiplead is voor Gert Bransteert has the chiplead with over 2 million points. This puts him almost a million points ahead of number 2 in chips Jan Marissen (1.223.084).
The average stack for Day 2 is currently 678,947 which is good for almost 50 big blinds at the start of Day 2! This average will obviously change as there are 2 more starting days to be played. The worst position is currently held by Jeroen van den Berg, who has just over 2 times starting stack at the start of Day 2 (214,538), which will be good for about 15 big blinds.
Tonight at 7pm Day 1B
Tonight at 19:00 hours Day 1B of the $55 Main Event will take place! Blind levels last 15 minutes and you can register until just over 90 minutes after the start (+- 20.35 hours). During that time you can also re-enter 1 if necessary. If you make it to level 18, you are through to Day 2! You can find the tournament in the Bwin lobby when you filter the category ‘MEC Poker Open’.
You can also qualify for the Main Event via an $11 satellite just before the start of Day 1B. It starts tonight at 17:00. The satellite can be found in the lobby of Bwin.
