RECAP: Day 1B
Day 1B kicked of at 1pm in Casino de Spa. With more than 100 entries online it was a lot busier than Day 1A (52 entries). At the start of the tournament there were 124 players. At the end of the day there were 184 entries and 33 of them were left to make it to day 2!
The first levels of the day.
Today the first bust out was Maarten Kok who lost his JJ against the flopped flush from Arek van Schaijk. The same Arek built up a stack more than 4 times average in the first 4 levels of the day! Also Luc Simons from Belgium had a good start and reached the first break with a stack of 73.600.

More entries than previous edition!
In April we had 134 entries on 1B. This year we had 134 entries with still 2,5 hours late registration left. Arek van Schaijk was at this point still the biggest stack. Also Tim Verheyen built a nice stack for the rest of his tournament. He was the runner up in April. At the end of level 6 we had 184 entries!

The last break before day 1B ends!
One last break before the players played level 14 en level 15 of day 1B. We saw π³π± Jean-Marie van Tatenhove with a monsterstack of more than 300.000 points. Fellow Dutch players Wouter de Graaf and Teun Bakker also built a decent stack.

The P.K.O. side event was planned at 8.30 pm. The whole room was packed because we already had 100 entries at the start. After 5 levels of play there were 166 entries. After the first break Sven de Haan had the chiplead with 124 players left.

Break 2
At the start of break 2 there were only 40 players left. Average was 62.250 but some players built a much larger stack:

Not much later 26 player got in the money. A mincash was β¬97,- but that is of course without the bounties they won! First prize for the Progressive Knock Out was β¬1.452,-. Esther Donze finished in 11th place when she lost AK versus AQ. The last 10 players played the final table.

After a five way deal the remaning players decided to play for the bounties and the nummer 1 position. At the end Maarten Tuininga was the strongest and won the heads up against Sandu Dumitru with aces!
